The Congolese Institute for Nature Conservation (ICCN) relies on a rigorous governance structure, combining strategic vision and operational excellence to guarantee the protection of the Democratic Republic of Congo’s natural heritage.

1. The Board of Directors :

The Board of Directors is the supreme body responsible for the Institute’s planning, direction, and decision-making. Chaired by the Chairman of the Board, Mr. Bernard Mikobi, it defines the general policy and meticulously oversees the implementation of the ICCN’s core mission.

It is composed of directors, thus ensuring the inter-institutional synergy necessary for the preservation of protected areas. The Board exercises ongoing oversight of the General Directorate’s management to guarantee transparency and the achievement of national objectives.

The Chief Executive, Mr. Yves Milan, is responsible for the strategic direction and day-to-day management of the Institute. As the driving force behind the conservation vision in the DRC, he coordinates the institution’s activities across the entire national territory.
